A substance used for patients with Hodgkin lymphoma or multiple myeloma before an autologous stem cell transplantation. AMD 3100 is given together with the stimulating factor granulocyte colony (G-CSF) to help move stem cells from bone marrow to the blood. You can then extract stem cells, store and return the patient. AMD 3100 is a type of chemokine receptor antagonist. Also called Mozobil and plerixafor.
