Borocaptate sodium. A substance used in a type of radiation therapy called boron neutron capture. The BSH is injected into a vein and concentrates in the tumor cells. Then the patient receives radiation treatment with atomic particles called neutrons. The neutrons react with the boron in BSH and radioactive particles that kill tumor cells without harming normal cells. Also called sodium borocaptate.
