General state of involution extreme poor health and malnutrition that accompany later stages of cancer. Occurs with weight loss, muscle mass and weakness that may occur in patients with cancer, AIDS, heart failure, respiratory or other chronic diseases, as well as with fatigue and inability to perform minimal activities.
