Fast-growing malignant tumor that occurs in trophoblast cells (cells that help the uterus to embryo attach to uterus and help form the placenta). Almost all chorioepithelioma form in the uterus after a sperm fertilizes an egg, but a small number form in a testis or an ovary. The chorioepithelioma spread through the blood to other organs, especially the lungs. A type of gestational trophoblastic disease. Also called chorionic carcinoma, corioblastoma, and choriocarcinoma.
