Autonomic reflex. Definition

Medical Definition: autonomic reflex

Reflection that takes place in the autonomic nervous system. The mechanism of autonomic reflexes is similar to those of social life. The only differences lie in the schools where integration occurs (sympathetic and parasympathetic centers) and in the efferent pathway, which sandwiched a ganglion neuron located in the paravertebral sympathetic ganglion chain, or in the prevertebral ganglia, and in the case parasympathetic, are located within the wall of the same organ that innervate (intramural ganglia). Autonomous reflex activity is responsible for regulating visceral and endocrine functions.
