GENERAL SYMPTOMS OR pathogenesis KARWINSKIA HUMBOLDTIANA
1 - () ascending paralysis or paresis, progressive, acute or chronic, painless limp, with hyporeflexia or areflexia tendon and skin, leading up to the diaphragm, muscles of thorax and upper limbs, often prevails on the side left and is accompanied by amyotrophy, especially in lower limbs, without alteration of rectal or bladder reflexes.
Its use can be seen in acute anterior poliomyelitis and its sequelae even if they are not very old, and in the polioencephalomyelitis.
Quadriplegia.
SPECIFIC KARWINSKIA HUMBOLDTIANA
2 intense and constant headache, with sensation of heaviness.
3 Ringing in the ears.
Nausea and vomiting 4.
5 - () Diarrhea in the beginning, followed by intestinal paralysis, intestinal true inactivity or inertia, with partial obstruction of the colon.
6 - () Shortness of breath getting worse, and can reach the respiratory paralysis.
Secondary bronchopneumonia. You can not expel the breath to talk (dispneumia).
7 Cramping pains in arms and legs.
8 - () Fever 38th to 39th, with relatively slow pulse (65 to 70 beats per minute).
