Helicobacter pylori. Treatments and remedies. Natural Medicine

The Helicobacter pylori is a bacteria that infects the stomach mucous. We know that a lot of ulcers and some cases of gastritis are due to infections caused by Helicobacter pylori. Many people have been infected without knowing that they have this bacteria in their stomach. Most of these people do not develop any types of symptoms such as with gastritis or stomach ulcers. This bacteria lives exclusively in the human stomach, being the only known organism that can survive in such an acidy environment.

It is thought that approximately half of the worldwide population is infected with Helicobacter Pylori. This type of bacteria only develops in the bowels and in general is contracted in infancy. The hygiene has a lot to do with the infection of this bacterium; In fact in countries where the hygienic conditions are unsanitary they have a much higher proportion of infection.

In order for Helicobacter Pylori to develop pathological symptoms, other factors have to be considered. The factors that increase the risk of an ulcer caused by Helicobacter pylori are:

- Antibiotics and inhibitors of gastric secretion.

- The use of acetylsalicylic acid (aspirin) is advised against due to its acidity.

Diet to combat Helicobacter Pylori
Since this type of bacteria survives in acidy environments, regulating the internal pH is the key to combat this type of pathogenic parasite.

The conventional treatment is normally based on antibiotics. Although in some cases the bacteria becomes resistant to these and thus it is not easy to eradicate it with antibiotics. So if we desired to use a natural methods, a treatment to regulate the blood pH would be recommended. Organic depuration based on salads and fresh fruits well washed are such alkaline foods that our nutrition should be based on. It is better to avoid acid foods that acidify the organism and are prone to make the reproduction of suchlike bacteria easy. Some of these foods are meats, refined carbohydrates and all sugars. It is also fundamental to combine foods correctly so as not to produce putrefied fermentations that produce dyspepsias or flatulence.

As acidity of the stomach should be avoided it is very beneficial to drink regularly and especially before main meals a puree based on raw potato, celery and carrot known for its alkalifying and because it is rich in potassium.

Drink water with a little bit of clay between meals to alkalinize and to absorb toxic elements of the stomach mucous.
